Let’s face it, as School Psychs, we don’t always have the time to sit down and dive into a good PD book. In fact, as a working parent, most of the books I enjoy lately are read to be through Audible on my way to work. That’s why I love the 15 minute focus series. I’ve written about a few of these before and just received Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management for K-12 Schools and Depression: Signs and Strategies for Counselors, Educators, and Parents to add to my bookshelf. This series always offers a quick overview of the topic and practical strategies for use.
I decided to get these two because behavioral threat assessment and Depression in my age group are not things that come up often enough for me to be super knowledgeable on the topic, but longing for good resources in the moment.
I’ve found that in these two, and along with both of the downloadable resources, will be keeping these within reach for my future practice.
