Writing this blog has granted me a lot of amazing opportunities. One of the coolest ones, as a School Psychologist, is getting to review and give away Julia Cook’s books. Guys, I have read and used these books since year one (I think Personal Space Camp was my first), and I still use them all the time. I’ve shared over on Instagram, but especially lately, my students are loving the opportunity to sit back and listen while I read them a book, and Julia Cook’s are always a favorite.
Just by the title, My Fantabulous Brain, I knew I’d love this one. It turns out that this adorable story about Wade, who has trouble with some learning skills, is perfect and totally relatable to many of my students. My students loved thinking about what their own brains would look like if they popped out of their heads, and after reading it, we talked about the tools we’d put in our own “brain boxes”.
If you are looking for a new book to add to your collection, any of Julia Cook’s are a gem, including this new one!
