How many manila envelopes do I hand out a year? More than I’d like, that’s for sure. One of the most popular and noticed things I did last symmer was to create these litle labels. They are another quick time saver, and help me feel more put together.
What is it? A label you can quickly affix to an envelope when you are sending home informatin to complete or get signed.
How do I use it? Every time I need to send home an envelope with a student in their backpack, espeically rating scales or forms, I send it with this label. Quick, easy and effective! I use these 2×4 inch labels from Avery, but you could obviously use whatever size.
Create it: Pick a fun graphic if that’s your choosing, and add a “To” line, a “From” or “Return to” line with your name, and a place for the date you want it back. Even though I put this on the letter inside, I think it’s a nice extra reminder.
Or Use Mine: You can find the parent and teacher version of the ones I created in my keep calm freebies. This is the exact version of the one I use, just without my contact information on the bottom.
So, in closing, your mission is to create a cover letter for teachers and parents that you can quickly pull out as you are preparing evaluations this year. Don’t forget to print multiple copies or make yourself a note to do that when you get back to school!
P.S. I use HP instant ink, and have for a year now. I tried it last year after going trhough way too many printers in the past few years, and getting frustrated that ink cost more than the machines themselves. Last summer I printed out a whole bunch of TPT products, and finally bit the bullet on instant ink when a regular ink cartidge woudln’t even print one card game! I have the $9.99 a month plan now and haven’t regretted it! If you are interested and want to get a month free, try it here! (affiliate link)
